Basic Information

Ben's Hens has been offering Beyond Organic Pasture-Raised Turkey since 2018. Since day one, our goal has been to provide a real, whole, quality, and nutrient-dense Turkey. We have gone through a few different iterations to determine what works best to raise Turkey at 7,200 feet elevation in a South Central Utah Desert Mountain Valley. It has been a challenge, but we are confident that we have the Turkey we set out to produce.

We practice Regenerative Agriculture and choose to Pasture-Raise all our Turkeys. We do our best to mimic nature and work with nature in a delicate balance. Most of the time, nature is kind and gentle, but sometimes, it is cruel and hard. We learn from these experiences and move forward with faith, love, and understanding.

Is our Turkey "Certified Organic"? Nope and we have zero plans to ever becoming "Certified Organic". Simply put, our Turkey is Beyond Organic and becoming "Certified Organic" would be a downgrade for Ben's Hens. If you would like to understand what we mean, we advise talking directly to Ben Jackson.

The only 'Certification' we truly care about, is from our customers and Members. These are the people who have visited the farm, asked all the questions, eaten our turkey, saw with their own eyes, and heard with their own ears how our Turkey is raised and processed. This is the stamp of approval that we seek here at Ben's Hens.

Base Price Information

All Value Added Prices are based on the cost of one 12 lb Whole Turkey at $6 / lbs. Convenience and Value Adding have a cost associated with each product.

Feed Information

One tier of feed is available for Turkey.

Ben's Hens Standard:
Standard Layer Mash (40% of total feed) mixed with Ben's Hens Fermented Whole Grain/Seed Mix (60% of total feed).

Anticipated Availability

2025 Season Meat Turkeys will become available beginning in Mid November 2025. If you would like to reserve Turkeys, please talk with us about Preordering. Until then, check with Ben Jackson to see if there are any Turkey products currently in our freezers.

In general, Thanksgiving Fresh Turkeys are potentially an option each year. This is for one primary reason:

1. Unpredictable cold weather during November, especially around Thanksgiving. Processing in freezing weather is zero fun. Ask Ben, he has done it.
