Membership
When you purchase a Membership, you are purchasing access to benefits and discounts. You are simply prepaying now, for discounts toward products later. It is similar to having store credit. Please note: discounts do NOT apply to butcher fees.

Tin and Iron Memberships are available year round.
Bronze, Silver, and Gold Memberships are available for purchase between 1 January 2024 and 31 March 2024.

Tin Member | $5
Tin is available to purchase year round.
It is primarily for members interested in receiving Individual Cuts of Lamb, Goat and Pork.
For example: Lamb Burger, Lamb Chops, and / or Bacon.

Copper Member | $100
Copper is available to purchase year round.
It is primarily for members interested in eggs only.
For example: 2 - 3 dozen eggs (monthly).

Eggs : $1 off per dozen
Iron Member | $500
Iron is available to purchase year round.
Iron is for members interested in basic meat and eggs, but missed the opportunity to purchase Bronze, Silver, or Gold.
For example: 12 Chickens, 1 Turkeys, and 2.5 dozen eggs (monthly).
Or a Whole Lamb share, a few Chickens, and a Turkey.

Bronze is for members interested in basic meat and eggs.

For example: 10 Chickens, 1 Turkeys, and 2 dozen eggs (monthly).

Silver Member | $1,200
Silver is for members interested in a lot more meat and eggs.
Available for purchase until 20 June 2024.
For example: 1 - 2 Whole Lamb share, 1 - 2 Whole Goat share, 1 Half Pig share, 12 Chickens, 2 Turkeys, and 5 dozen eggs (monthly).

Up to $150 Ben's Hens Credit per year with beef purchase from Bar D.E.*
Gold Member | $3000
Gold is for members interested in even more meat and eggs.
Available for purchase beginning 1 January 2025.
Gold is a 2 year agreement. Gold Members will have access to $1500 each year. Any amount over the yearly accessible amount, will need to come from the Members pocket. Best value, especially if you purchase beef from Bar DE.
For example: 1 - 2 Whole Lamb share, 1 - 2 Whole Goat share, 1 Half Pig share, 20 Chickens, 2 Turkeys, and 7 dozen eggs (monthly).

Potential Questions
What forms of payment can be used?
Cash or Check (preferred)
Venmo or CashApp
Credit or Debit Card (~4% convenience fee will be applied)
Is there a payment over time option?
Yes, you can make payments over time. Discuss it with Ben.
Your first payment (minimum of $125), must be made by 31 March 2024, and your final payment must be made by 30 June 2024. You will be treated as a Retail Member until your final payment is made. Once the final payment is made, all transactions during the payment period will be backdated to reflect member discounts.
What about a refund?
You can request and discuss a refund with Ben before 31 March 2024. After this date, refunds are no longer an option. Due to the nature of farming and the CSA model, these funds have been used toward the purchase of this years feed, animals, and supplies.
However, you can transfer your investment to another person or have it become part of donations to the Wayne County Food Bank.
What happens if I purchase more than my available Member Balance?
You will be required to pay out of pocket for any amount that is not covered by your MB. You will still receive your discounts and benefits.
What happens if I have Member Balance available at the end of the year?
In short, any MB remaining can be used toward renewing your Membership the following year. If you choose to NOT renew, your MB will be available to use toward the purchase of Ben's Hens products, but at Retail prices. If you would like more details, contact Ben.
What about product delivery?
Yes, product delivery is available to most of Utah. A ~10% delivery fee will be applied. Expect this to be between $5 - $50. In person delivery is possible via Bar D.E. Farm and Ranch. Discuss it with Ben. At this time, shipping is NOT an option.
What is a Ben's Hens Membership / Food Future? It is simply this: securing your food future by investing in Ben's Hens. This is accomplished by prepaying for food now, with the expectation and promise of receiving food at a later date. Because you are willing to invest in your food now, you will receive benefits and discounts when you pick up and purchase your food later.
Purchasing a Membership now (even with the benefits and discounts), has more value to Ben's Hens than purchasing products at a Retail price later. So please, do NOT wait. The future of Ben's Hens depends on you.
